Default NGD - First acoustic

Hey everyone,

Been playing electric for about a year and have been craving an acoustic as I have pretty diverse musical and playing tastes. I've been looking for one for a little while and pounced on this one for a good deal at a local shop:

Simon & Patrick Showcase flame maple. My cellphone pics don't do justice as this thing is gorgeous! Sounds and plays very well too.

Nice looking guitar. Maybe make the pics a little smaller though. Even on my HD screen they distort the forum boundaries. Try 1200 pixels wide at most.

Congrats on the guitar then. Enjoy it. Looks like a solid wood type and that inlay in the headstock is classy.

Nice, but as said try to not post such massive pics. I'm sure you wanted everyone to admire the figure in the woods, rosette and the abalone inlay.

Awesome! But, did you post pics of your guitar? Maybe I missed them.

Really, pics are so big I could only see a small corner of the guitar. Glad you are happy with it though.

Congratulations it looks great! Nice flame koa.
But the pics are 4000 X 3000 which is about 5 times larger than normal.

Congrats! Sweet !

FYI - You can choose smaller pict sizes within Imgur.
Which makes it way easier to view on screen.

My god those were huge pics, sorry!

Should be fixed now.

I have a case humidifier and live in an area that is really dry in the winter (hygrometer says 22% in the house right now.)

Last night my hygrometer got to a max of 38%. Is this enough? Do I need another humidifier?

As for necessary humidifier.

In winter I must use a room humidifier..
I have small hygrometer that I can fit in a guitar case .. to check if need be.

But I find if the room is say 38%.. then inside the cases are same.

I like to humidify the room.. so I can leave guitars out during th day. I do case them at night for safety.

The weather is warming up and rainy ...
so My humidifier has not run for several days now.

I don't think a room humidifier is an option as my "man cave" is just my open basement (~1200 square feet).

My case humidifier is keeping the case steady at about 37-38%. Is this enough humidity for a solid wood acoustic? Outside it is about -20 C and dry.
