Teja Gerken & Doug Young Duet of Eric Skye's "The Locktender's Reel"

Very pleased to announce the first completely new recording that Doug Young and I have done since our DUETS album came out earlier this year. Even better, the piece is Eric Skye's tune “The Locktender’s Reel,” which we arranged in CGDGCD and DAGDAD tunings. We're pretty happy with how it came out, and Doug did a wonderful job putting this video together:



I'm playing my 2004 Custom Shop Martin OM, Doug is playing his Brazilan RW Laurence Juber Martin OM.

The tunes is also released as a single on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. today, so check out the audio-only version, where we play even better!

Thanks, everyone. This was an interesting "social distanced" project to do. BTW, Teja mentioned a spotify version. We actually recorded the audio-only studio version first, which is where were worked out the arrangement, before shooting the video. Here's the 1st audio-only version:

Curly hair and green screens are a skill I have yet to master... Also great for Covid hair cuts :-)
