This is quite a beautiful guitar, Mark. I’ve never had any interested at all in a dreadnought due to the “boxy profile,” but the manner in which you’ve brought out a more feminine appearance has me re-thinking my stance on them.
I’m very interested in your use of natural stone…especially processing it yourself for this application. It’s something that’s been hanging around in the periphery of my mind, though I haven’t yet pulled it to the forefront. Your wonderful results may be just the impetus I’ve been waiting on. I’ve always enjoyed and admired your ability to pull colors and textures together into a singularly cohesive product. -joel

Usually the thickness of inlays for guitars comes in at about .050" That is a real trick to get to with really hard stones. A lot of crystal laden stones just start to fall apart when brought down too thin. Quote:

To me, that is a large part of the appeal in building them. It's a wide open field for creativity and innovation. Quote:
Coincidentally, I just got some progress pictures of the first gloss coat on this Torified Sitka and Amazon Rosewood Dryad,

I'm planning to install the Gold Evo frets this week and get the Scheller tuners in. It should be strung up by the end of next week.

This is my favorite model of yours, Mark. Too bad one of these won’t be at BIG this year! If I were in a position to order a guitar, this is the one. Love what you’re doing these days.

I'm looking forward to hearing this guitar too. I'll get a sound sample for it as soon as possible. I also need a sample for my website. Currently my site just has a "coming soon" notice for this model. m

I very much enjoy following this build Mark, being a Dreadnought guy to the core myself. I'm so impressed with your website design as well & found it a real treat. Well done. You are to be commended on your dedication to the guitar.
