Default NGD - Breedlove Oregon Myrtlewood-Myrtlewood Concert

I had been intrigued by the all-Myrtlewood Breedlove models since that’s such an unusual selection for the top. After reading numerous articles where its praises were sung, and viewing YouTube reviews, I decided to take the plunge. I noticed that Sweetwater had them in stock, so I contacted my Sales Engineer. Enter the real hero of the story. I can’t overstate how easy the process was. He gave me a quote for an exceptional price, which I gladly accepted and two days later this beauty arrived. The whole process with Sweetwater was smooth and easy.

This is the Concert sized Oregon all Myrtlewood with the cinnamon burst finish. The first thing you notice about the guitar is how beautiful it is. Breedlove do a wonderful job with their guitars— the fit and finish is impeccable. At first strum I immediately notice how much low end it’s got. In fact I don’t really believe it so I pull out my Martin 000 to compare it to. Wow. The bass from this thing is awesome, but it doesn’t sacrifice nice, bright trebles, which are also there. But the low end is so nice.

I am very impressed with Breedlove and the sound and quality of this guitar. I would highly recommend this brand and, in particular, the all Myrtlewood models.

You made a very wise choice. And that is a beautiful example. Enjoy for many years!

Congratulations on a beautiful guitar!

I've played a bunch of Breedlove's and have been impressed with how lively they are, especially their Made In Bend models - where they use their sound optimization process.

I can relate. I just bought a walnutburst concert; Port Orford Cedar over walnut! These guitars are just fantastic, & a better bang for the buck I have not found! So much tone out of such a little box! Enjoy your concert!

Beautiful! I have one of the new cheap, Asian "Organic Signature" Breedloves, but the Oregon Myrtles are high on my aspirational list.

What a beautiful guitar. Congratulations. Breedlove makes some of the best bang for the buck guitars out there.

I have the Oregon Concert 12 string and it's doing very well so far. The only thing I'd change would be to make the sides of the neck less sharp so they don't dig into my left-hand thumb when I'm using it to fret the lowest two strings - it's much sharper corner than on the Lowden PBSM, which is my other guitar, and is less comfortable on the thumb for that reason. I left Breedlove a message about this but didn't hear back from them.

But yes, two thumbs up for the Breedlove Oregon Concert series.

Congrats for the NGD!
I love Breedlove. I once had this model but in a natural finish. The neck is one of my favourite shape. The tuners were also excellent.
