You guys are too funny. I'm slammed with work and family stuff. I had about enough time yesterday to take the guitar out of the box and make sure it was still roughly in the shape of a guitar. It was!

I played it maybe a total of 1 minute, so I don't have any comments yet. Build quality is gorgeous at first blush. No surprise there.

I'll let you all know how things are going soon. I'm also going down a bit of a hifi rabbit hole right now and have been a little distracted from my guitar and AGF posting duties. My apologies.

No need to apologize from my perspective. That is pretty much the nicest new build I’ve seen and I’m living vicariously.

What heathen was responsible for the bank-account-hemorrhage rabbit hole of hifi?

I dare not speak the heathen’s name publicly. But curse him!

He who must not be named. You know, Your daddy in all things guitar and overpriced headphones.

All kidding aside and apropros of nothing, and a blatant attempt to hijack your thread, there is an ER superstition (news flash we are a very superstitious peple) that saying someone's name will, through the Dark Side of the Force, summon such person so that they sign in for terminal fibromyalgia. It is only done if someone messes up and walks in and says "Golly Gee it's awful QUIET around here, in which the nurses spit curare darts to the nitwit that uttered the Q word within the walls of the ED."

But, if you were in a vindictive mood, all you have to do is say "Betelgeuse Betelgeuse Betelgeuse" and they will show up, guaranteed.

Koa Larsons are the only substance on Earth known to shun this dark magic.

Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth. This guitar hit right when I was going 200% at work, recovering from a crazy flu, finishing projects, etc.

I still haven't had much time to play it . . . or any guitar for that matter. It does sound quite lovely and reminds me in many ways of my maple Circa 000. It has much more of a Martin vibe than a Larson vibe, to be sure, but a great guitar is a great guitar. It has a sweet, round tone and is very responsive. The build quality is superb, and the look of the guitar is outstanding. I love every detail. I'll post more as I get a chance to catch my breath, but I didn't want people to mistake silence for some kind of issue.

I love my ARK. It has become my main gigging guitar because it's so comfortable to play and sounds fabulous. I will tell you that it has opened up incredibly after the few years I have had it.

Also, I really like D'Addario Nickel-Bronze strings on it. They brighten the sound a little and, to me, bring out the best in the guitar.

Looking forward to hearing more about yours once you catch your breath!

I'm sorry, no need to rush of course. I'm just curious, this seems to be such a beautiful and unique guitar and I would love to hear how it compares to the rest of the herd, especially your other 12-fret 000s. It's interesting that you describe it as being more in the Martin camp... Anyway, take a breath, and all the best!

The Señorita also seems to be a winner.
