Era Amps Price Drop
Just reviewed the excellent Era 1 and Era 2 acoustic amps on my YouTube channel and they both just received a huge price cut at Sweetwater in case anyone saw my review and was thinking of getting one. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...20Catalog%20Ad

Aaron: A German amp company actually making these products in Germany--Bravo! Another useful and informative review--Thanks!
These look like excellent products but the one thing that I don't like is that they have only 9-volt Instrument/24-volt Mic phantom power on each channel which would likely not be enough to properly power some mics and other devices.

They could drop the price more with a smaller power amp. A 250 watt acoustic amp is like a 5 lb fly swatter.

Fine acoustic amps are really optimized in frequency response for acoustic guitars and vocals as follows:
Hughes & Kettner Era 1/Era 2: 70 Hz – 15 kHz (–3 dB) AER COMPACT 60/3 ACOUSTIC AMPLIFIER: Frequency response: 60Hz-18kHz (-3dB?) LR Baggs Synapse: 65Hz to 18kHz (-3dB) This is likely good if a company is endeavoring to maximize the tone of these amps for the singer/guitarist market but I wonder if playing canned music with electric or acoustic bass in the mix through these systems could damage the woofers? To answer my own question, the following is from the LR Baggs Synapse User's Guide and I'd suppose the following should be heeded for any smaller, acoustic amp/personal PA device when playing full-spectrum sound through them: The Synapse is a full range PA system. Great care has been taken to add seamless limiting and protection for the speakers so that many types of instruments and music can be played through it. However, the Synapse uses an 8” woofer and may not sustain high peak levels of energy below 75Hz for extended periods of time. Reduce the playing level if playing low frequencies from a keyboard, bass guitar, recorded music, etc. or pair with a subwoofer for low energy support.
