Everything about that was totally professional. That was awesome!

More pleased than proud, but thanks, Tom.

Beautifully done, and great video production. The multiple cameras really add to the visual variety and momentum of the song, (very well played, with fine singing). Few people put as much into the video production as you have here and I admire that. Also, glad to see I'm not the only one who has to deal with cables all over the place...

Thanks for adding the backstory and detail. Great post.

Splendid rendition. It is an act of courage, or chutzpah, or both, to take on such an anthem. After all, we are all comparing your interpretation to the original that clatters about in all our minds. Too often, I find that listening to another artist's interpretation of a song so deeply embedded, no matter how capably presented, just makes me squirm with cognitive dissonance. But not yours. You preserve the song's integrity and depth while distinguishing it from the original. That is no easy feat. Congratulations on a beautiful performance, all the more perfectly captured by your tech.

Very nice indeed. I'd like to find someone like you in my area. Sounds real similar to the solo stuff I've been attempting.

I don’t post much here but I will for this one.

When I saw the difficult song choice, my first thought was “Oh, boy— this is going to be either really bad or really good”

It was really, really good.

Coincidentally, during Covid, I have been watching YouTube videos with your doppelganger, Leeland Sklar.

Sounds great! Awesome tone on that guitar, and you look a bit like Jerry Garcia, which is extra cool!

Thanks again to you who have watched and listened. I've read every comment multiple times, believe me, with appreciation and joy, as you might imagine. Very glad to have others enjoy what I have done, and it means a lot that you took the time to respond.

In the meantime, I've been enjoying some of the other show and tell pieces, and am planning to return to the loft to record an original song soon, which I'll also share here.

Thumbs up Awesome Singing and Playing!

Sound of Silence is one of my favourite songs. I visit this section, "Show and Tell" occasionally and usually let the others do the work of searching for good performances before I watch them. Just look out for those threads with many views and comments and they usually turn out good.

When I watched your video, I was totally blown away by the singing and playing, both were exceptional. The arrangement was a little different from the original but it was creative and you made it your own. I like that in musicians and singers! Your video and sound technician also did a great job! Thank you for showing us the video and I'm looking forward to the next video that you'll be posting. It also made me appreciate why the Martin 000-18 is such a well-loved model here in AGF!...and why you have 2 slightly different ones.
