Black Gibson medium . . . Never know when you’re gonna run into a guitar you want to play.

Two Fender mediums...just about always have picks in my pockets. When I come across a young performer, I will give them a pick as encouragement...and I usually get a smile and thank you in return.

No flat picks here. I do use a thumb pick, and refuse to play guitar without one, but I don't carry one around with me.

It's true though. My days of haunting the shops/dealers to play this and that are long since over, not least because I already have all I need, but also because I couldn't find the instruments that I prefer in any local shops (not that there are many left since the last one in my city closed last month. I confess that back in the seventies I'd conspicuously show picks amongst my change to "show" that I was a guitarist but not now. Also, I'm not about to risk my Blue Chips lost in a pocket, or in the washing machine. Many folks explain their reluctance to use expensive picks for fear of doing just that - not me.

Well, my keys in one pocket, and ummm...a little doo-bob that is from NAA...but no picks. I don't really know how to use a pick! They always slide out from between my thumb and finger.

In my leather Collings key fob (with the painted "Collings" long worn off) are a PickBoy .75mm Vintage T-Shell Classic (always seems like a rebranded Fender medium, but still my go to), a PickBoy .75 rainbow perforated something and a D'Addario Cortex .50 mm that I've been experimenting with lately.

Freebie from Guitar Center.
I keep one in my wallet in case someone needs a pick. Never picked up the habit myself.
