I need to sell a couple as they are not played enough - but which? I love them all. One is on consignment at Bernunzio's, but they haven't done much with it and I'm now wishing they were closer so i could take it back.

I play them all (listed below), though not equally. Right now the Hatcher and the Franks see dayllght most often. The Sexauer and the Goodall are used only a bit less.

Default How many guitars

Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three.

Eastman E10 OM-TC
Eastman E40OM
Rainsong S OM1000N2

Maybe I am a little OM heavy, but they just feel the right size for me.

I’m currently holding steady at 5:

3 acoustics - Martin CS Adi OM-21, Froggy D14 and Taylor GS Mini
2 electrics - Ron Kirn Telecaster and Epiphone Les Paul

I generally play acoustic in the morning, either the Martin or the Froggy. The Froggy is for sale, but the more I play it the more I want to hang on to it. The GS Mini is almost exclusively a travel guitar. At night I like to play the Tele in front of the T.V. and although the Les Paul gets seldom played, there are times when I just need to play a big fat honking LP.

I own 8, and my #1 go-to depends on what kind of music I want to play on any given day. Do I want to play classical, or folk, or classic rock, or whatever sound I am in the mood for. I even play my 12-string sometimes, because there are times only a 12-string will do (although that gets the least play of all my instruments.) So Yes, they all get played, but some more than others.

I forgot to answer the 2nd part of the OP's question.

I don't always play them all. I mostly play my Avalon or Guild D-120c. But its my busy season so I have an excuse. Once the season is over I'll go back to playing all of them over the course of a week except the D-55 which is retired, and the Washburn as its just a spare that I hardly ever play. It was my first guitar that I bought back in the early 2000's when I returned to playing after a decade or so of non-playing.

Currently I own the following:

Nice acoustics:

McPhersen 3.5 Camrielle
Martin DC-Aura
Martin OMC 35e
Taylor 114ce
Taylor 150e
Taylor 320e Baritone
La Patrie Classical

Campfire/ DADGAD acoustic guitar:

Ibanez AW40

Nice Electrics:

Fender Hot Rod 52 Tele
MIM Stratocaster with Tex Mex upgrades

Semis:

Godin A6 Ultra
Epiphone Chet Atkins SST

Cheap Charity Auction Signature Electrics:

3xSquier Strats signed by Survivor, Alice Cooper and Doobie Bros. These are wall candy.

Travel Guitar: Fender California something or another.

I did this to see if I could actually remember them all [emoji2957][emoji2957][emoji2957]

But the go to guitar is most definitely the DC-Aura. My favorite!!

Default The second part of the question

I play the two Eastmans evenly when I am home. The Rainsong stays in the case unless I am traveling or going to lessons in the winter.

Default Just how many guitars do you own?

My goodness, that texsunburst guy really has a problem. JK, its a good problem!

I'm way behind, i only have the three in my signature. I got the Martin like two weeks ago, but the honeymoon is still strong. I think i have a family somewhere...lol. My classical's are gettin dusty. As soon as my Martin high wears off, i'll get to 'em.

I had no idea so many own so many guitars. Soon as i pay off this Martin OM, i'm looking at a Taylor. Perhaps a 517BE?

I've lost count. I'd say roughly 10 to 12, plus a uke and several mandos.

I hadn’t counted in a while, so maybe this was a good exercise.

9 Acoustics
1967 Guild D-40
2002 Breedlove Custom CM Exotic
2015 Taylor all mahogany 522e
Art & Lutherie Parlor
Yamaha Classical
Taylor Big Baby
Emerald X-5 travel
Cheap Silvertone Dread
MacKenzie and Marr Opeongo (on its way from M&M in Canada)

4 electrics:
2001 Gibson Blues Hawk
Epiphone Les Paul
Old Scratch Fabrication - single pickup (oldscratchfabrications.com)
Firefly semi-hollow double humbucker

Odds and Ends:
Homemade resonator
Homemade cigar box 3 string
Lanikai Tenor Uke
Rover A-style mandolin

There's not a one I haven't played in the last six weeks or so other than that homemade resonator and the cigarbox, both of which were more or less projects just to see if I could do it. I get the most pleasure out of the Breedlove, the Guild and the Mahogany Taylor 12-fret. I still suck on the mandolin, but persevere. The uke is the most fun for singing along.

Seven acoustics with one more on the way.
(Collings, Huss & Dalton, Martin, National, Taylor)

Three electrics with one more on the way.
(Fender, Collings, Ron Kirn)

I play them all with the exception of the Ron Kirn telecaster which is soon to be sold. What I play depends upon the material and the mood and whether I'm performing for others or just playing at home for myself.

Remarkable resemblance to John Lennon

Pics - the ES-335, W10 and Rick Turner were sold in the last year. The 335 wasn't a good example of Gibson's best work (Most copies played/sounded better), I didn't play the W10 (prefer OMs and GAs), and the Rick Turner was swapped out for a Godin (didn't like the 2" classical neck).

I play most of them, but the Baby-M and Gretsch get less use. (Baby the uke are for when I travel, and I don't like dinging up the Gretsch. BUT....it gets played when I'm working on Chet tunes or getting my rockabilly fix.

Added this G&L Tele - because who can't use another Telecaster?

Took these two to the CAAS (Chet Atkins) convention last year. Eastman E40-OM and Taylor 812ce-N

Time to Buck up. Recording King Bakersfield.

If 6 is good, 12 is better. Taylor 356ce

Gimme Rick. Rickenbacker 620/12

I think I've been playing about 42 years now. I got my first (awful) guitar when I was 16. Found one @ GC for $199. Tempted to buy it just to remember how bad it was. FAME 747 with a howler of a single coil pickup.

Picked up a Yamaha Classical in college. That one's long gone, along with that hair. Those glasses were so thick, they had A&W stamped on them.

Also, this Ventura "Martin" copy. It was actually a pretty good guitar. Solid top, back and sides, Guild-type fret markers. I wouldn't mind buying one if I could find one for a decent price.
