Default What’s changed?

I’ve got a pair of Taylor guitars that I’ve had since new. They both take the 9v battery for the expression system and I’ve always used Duracell because they seemed to fit the best. Here lately it seems like those don’t even fit unless I drive them in with an impact hammer (just kidding). Has anyone else noticed this?

Regretfully the manufacturing size specs of 9v batteries are only quasi standard. Taylor is now selling inexpensive replacement 9v carriers that will fit most batteries. I ordered a few and no more battery size problems.

There was a thread about this problem a while back. I think the conclusion drawn was that the battery manufacturer had increased the dimensions very slightly.

Maybe this one... https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...ht=Battery+fit

Or this one... https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...ht=Battery+fit

Thanks for the responses. Ironically I was out at NAMM in Anaheim a few weeks back but completely forgot to ask about this while at the Taylor Guitars room.

I was having the same issue and ordered a new one from the Taylor site. Problem solved.
