Yes. Agree! Perhaps an all solid Koa mini, in the near future, can outdo the current Koa Mini...

I can't believe my mahogany Mini is 6, going on 7 years old. I think it has mellowed into a nice rich tone.

Wow! Your Hog Mini may be one of the “most senior” in this thread!

Wonder how both my mini’s will sound at 6-7 years with regular playing time?

I have one of the limited run Holden Village GS Minis, which had a run of around 1,000 over the course of 2014, raising over $150K to support clean water projects in Central America. It has a maple veneer and Engelmann Spruce tree that was recovered from Holden Village in Washington’s Cascade Mountains. More of the story here, with some sound clips: http://pacificrimtonewoods.com/holden-village-gs-mini/

And some pictures from Taylor or Holden Village (can’t remember, but mine looks roughly the same).

Thanks pjroberts for sharing this story! I never knew about this joint project. Beautiful looking limited edition Mini’s! Sounds good too. You still have this guitar? Just wondering only...

Yes, I do still have it. I actually don’t play it that much, really only when traveling, primarily due to the nut. They show up in the used market here, on Reverb and around ....

I see. Too bad I’m not living in the US. If not I may be tempted to buy a used one. The back and sides looks like the Taylor 6xx series...
