Very interesting!
I used to produce complete construction information plans and would occasionally offer a free raffle on BanjoHangout.org and used Random.org's random number generator to select a winner. I'm surprised there weren't more entries. I usually had about 30 responders to the free construction guide packages. Thanks much for the string offer, I'll be changing strings in the next few days! |

Congrats on this score, and I hope you have better luck than I've had with my last two sets of EJ46FFs.
I've been going back and forth between these strings and Oasis Hard Tension carbon strings. I like the Oasis strings but they are not available locally and the D string is prone to sudden breaking; just about every set I've used the D breaks after about a month of playing. Thoughthe EJ46FF sets can be found locally and do sound good, the high E has broken soon after tuning on the last two sets I've tried. In addition, that high E takes FOREVER to stretch to pitch. Even when taking the slack out before tuning, I've ended up with so many winds around the barrel that the string is smack up against the side of the headstock slot. I don't know if I've just been unlucky and have gotten two defective sets, but it's getting very frustrating trying to find just the "right" set for me.
