Thank you for sharing. I might just add this to my repertoire to help with my tremolo.

I've got it memorized. Next step is to burn it into muscle memory at a slow tempo. Then, off to the races. |

This piece has 28 bars of music.
That approach really works well for me and helps me with memorization. |

That’s a good approach…I think I do similar but there’s always a few parts that drop off the memory radar! Especially if I go on vacation for a week or more…recently I read a recommendation to learn a song starting with the last measure…
Thanks [emoji120]

Last night I played a 3 hour solo guitar gig and they requested I play the entirely on my classical guitar. This was a first for me to play all night on my nylon string guitar. I did a mix of original tunes, jazz chord solos, pop song arrangements I've worked up, and my handful of classical songs - which included Carcassi's Study No. 7, Op. 60. I can't yet play it up to speed, but it sounds really nice played at a slower tempo with a lot of feeling/expression.
Thanks again for introducing me to this piece! The classical tunes I played were:
I don't have a huge repertoire of classical tunes, but it is growing every week I'm memorizing Sor's Estudio No. 9 this week. Last edited by 815C; 12-12-2021 at 08:03 AM. |
