Default Happy Thanksgiving, CF folks!

Hope this holiday finds you and yours safe, healthy, and happy. If you have a guitar, you can count yourself as fortunate. Maybe even more so if it is a carbon fiber... but, I might be a bit biased.

I have much to be thankful for. I appreciate this bit of home on the internet on this sub-forum. The welcoming manner here and willingness to share makes this place a delight.

Coming up on 58 years of guitar playing in another month; it has been a stabilizing factor over the years. In my younger years, it fed my young family. As I moved on from making a living with music, it has been an enjoyable passion. I am fortunate to have a wife and a big ol' furry boy who like a daily "concert"... I do try to mix it up so they don't have to hear the same songs over and over, although they each have their favorite tunes.

It gives me comfort and pleasure to be able to go into my music room and decide what to take off the wall for a session.

I have a great friend (since 1968) who is my music partner. He is two days out from having back surgery, and it made my heart happy to hear him ask me to send my latest tracks last night. He is ready to play again.

Most importantly: family. My wife and daughter. Both have been supportive of my playing. My wife to the point that I consider her "an enabler." There is no doubt my meager guitar collection would be far fewer without her encouragement. We have a roof over our heads, food in our bellies, and reasonable safety and security in this world that can be crazy.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Jim
