I am happy you found decent food on Venus. Frankly, for me good food overcomes atmosphere. For me, I had no such luck. My travel agent insisted that what happens on Venus stays in Venus. What happened in Uranus proved that wrong. It was disappointing.

Steven Hawkings said that if aliens visit----don't mess with them at all. It didn't work out too well for the Native Americans and Columbus!

Yes.

If they can get here, we're in trouble. No one would spend those kind of resources and be like "just saying hi, cause we're in the neighborhood."

I tend to look at "scientific discoveries" through a lens of "do I still have to get up tomorrow morning, brush my teeth and go in to work"? If it doesn't change my life (as say for example how Covid-19 HAS for so many) then it's not something I tend to linger upon.

That’s kinda’ the way I look at things in general, except the “work” part. I’m finished with that.
In fact, the less I know, the happier I am. If it affects me, my wife will clue me in.

I think that's smart, I have of late found the same relief from the news. Just a lot I can't control and I don't need the stress.

I am curious why you have scientific discoveries in quotes?
