It is very hard to do a video good enough to use as a reference for comparing guitars...unless both are played in the same video. Acoustic Guitar Magazine is one of the few that handle this problem pretty well. Jon

Since the first time I've played Shorty I am still positively impressed.
I have pre Peavey CA which is fabulous, but I might simply like Shorty more (their loudness is pretty equal, as well as, is comparable size). Have Jumbo 12 string and dred (both Classic serie), as well. Shorty is more dynamic and responsive to playing, depending on strings, it is easy to make it non-bright, without losing articulation and getting mudiness. In my book Shorty (FT in particular) is by far the most fun of all CF guitars I've played and owned. Although different, I get same pleasure like playing higher end Martin OMs, what says a lot about it. It is RS gem, with stellar performance at its price point and far beyond. |
