Truss Rods (adjustable)
I've finally saved up enough that I am on the border of being able to afford a Rainsong 12-string. Used of course. There is one here in the classifieds and I'm actually bidding on one on e-bay.
All Rainsong 12's have the N1 neck design, which means no truss rod. That's starting to make me nervous. I remember when I got my Shorty that I did indeed adjust the truss rod, though I can't remember which way. Should I be concerned? The alternative is an Emerald X20-12, and those do have a truss rod. Given Alistair's pricing to add a 12-string neck and decent hard case it would be a while more before I could consider it.

Doubt there is an issue but ask them to measure relief, height at 12th. 3 day inspection period with my last used guitar, that really helps. They may not have tools for relief but could send you a picture?

I would highly recommend the X20 as a 12-string.
