Wow Ed! That's half of what you originally thought the upcharge for torrified tops would be! Probably out of my budget, but I suspect at that reasonable upcharge, you'll be seeing quite a few torrified requests.

Im happy, I should say delighted, to announce to the Halcyon club that Ed is closing the box on my guitar. Its #111 I think in case anyone wants to know. Its been about 6 months which seemed twice that long. But for a guitar thats not something standard being ordered from Sweetwater, Musiciansfriend etc its on average not bad. As I recall that has been Eds wait time from the beginning. Im not complaining, nothing to complain about with Ed, just sharing my feelings.

Ill have to learn how to post pics when it comes but for a description: Martin 00-14, walnut/spruce with ebony board. Ive had a small Gibson L-0 for several years which fits in my stuffed chair perfectly. I get up in the morning and pull it out to play as I wake up. This should serve the same function while providing a change of guitar.

I use tapatalk on my ipad, cause it does it all automatically without needing to host a photo elsewhere and link to it and such.

I don't know what it is about build shots. I don't build guitars. Heck, I haven't done any wood working since high school shop (class of 1978, go Vikings, hope we make it to the . . . er . . . 40th reunion?). But I love looking at pictures of the guitar build in process.

Well ladies and gentlemen, there she is. Quite a beauty dont you think. Puts a smile on my face. It was the last piece of walnut Ed had at the time but it looks fine to me. He says that he has a whole trunk hes sawing up so theres more walnut on the way.

Walnut OM, Martin inspired hand carved bracing, Larrivee style compound fretboard...

I think I may have drooled a little on my keyboard.
