Default Cort Gold O6

Hey Im seriously considering buying this guitar. But can't try it out since I live far away from any music shops. It has a 45 mm nut width right? Anyone who tried playing any fingerstyle on it who can tell me what they think about it?

There are actually quite a lot of reviews on this guitar on YouTube, it seems to be received very well.

Default Cort Gold O6

According to this Cort Gold 06 video, the nut width is 1-11/16”. I don’t own one so can’t help much. It’s good value for the money. Not sure if they have an updated version with a wider nut. I’ve tried the Gold 08 and I like it.

I’ve looked quite a bit into the Cort Gold series and have heard nothing but great reviews.

I have a Cort made Mitchell T333CE that cost $250 and it plays and sounds like a guitar three times more expensive. If the Gold series is anything like that then I imagine they are killer guitars.

Also, the A6 model has the wider 1 3/4 nut - they used the smaller nut on the O6 for whatever reason.

Im confused. On their website it says the O6 model has a 1-3/4 nut https://www.cortguitars.com/product/item.php?it_id=1202 But some people say it is 1-11/16 and some say it is 1-3/4. However the OC6 model says 1-11/16 mm nut, maybe people confuse them with eachother since they have very similar names? I guess I can trust their website when it comes to specs? Im happy that its gotten good reviews though

I’m sorry, I was confusing the O6 with the OC6 - the OC6 has the smaller nut, but the O6 does have the 1 3/4.

I checked the website you've attached and since it says 1-3/4"...it should be correct. I was mislead by the video I attached...which gave me the wrong information. Sorry for that misleading information.

Hi Mitch 145, can you tell us what the E to E string spacing at the saddle is ? Also can you estimate the fretboard radius, maybe if you have played a Martin guitar you can say if the Cort is similar or more curved or more flat? Their website gives no information on these dimensions.
Tak

I have a Cort dreadnought with Adirondack top and hog sides and back. It’s a well built guitar that sounds mighty fine.

While you wait for Mitch to reply, maybe I can help a little. I tested the Gold 08 using a (Thalia capo set with 16”radius) at the 1st & 3rd fret and it played alright. Just by feel alone, it feels slightly flatter than my 00-15M.

Thanks for that , usefull to know , I can't get on with more rounded fretboards.
Could you hazzard a guess as to what the saddle string spacing was? Perhaps compared to a guitar you know?

Haha. OK. I'll give it a try. E to E strings at nut is 37-38mm. E to E strings at saddle is 56mm.

But safer and better to wait for reply from Mitch.
