Arrow (TRADED) 2018 Emerald Select Series Woody -- Cocobolo X7 -- lowest price

(OFF THE MARKET)

2018 Emerald X7 Woody Cocobolo Select Series CF Guitar - now $1800 net

For Sale is my Emerald Select Series X7 in Cocobolo. I love this guitar, but the chance to reacquire one of my first custom orders makes the sale necessary. Price is now $1800 net to me, plus actual shipping. US only, please, including to Hawaii and Alaska. Condition is as I received it as very minty. Like new would apply.

Details on the Select Series Woody X7:

This guitar was part of the Select Series. The Select Series was a short lived monthly release of true Emerald Custom Shop guitars. The series was meant as a way to display some of the custom options and woods available for order. This X7 is from January 2018. Short Scale at 24", 1 3/4" nut and 2-1/4" saddle spacing (other details below).

Here's the Emerald YouTube video announcing the January 2018 Select Series (X7 starts at about the 3:25 minute mark).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xF4Xr_yaE-I

DESCRIPTION (FROM EMERALD):
If you are looking for a guitar that has both the acoustic voice of a parlour-sized guitar, and is still compact enough to fit into an overhead locker on a plane, then the X7 is the right choice for you.

The X7 is deceiving. It may be compact, but thanks to its carbon fibre construction, offset soundhole and responsive soundboard, it has a very big voice; So much so that many of our customers use the X7 as their main guitar, on and off stage.

This X7 is part of the monthly Emerald Custom Shop Select Series, a collection of instruments hand-selected by Alistair Hay. It features a cocobolo Woody veneer with amber carbon back and sides.

The X7 Select Series (featured in January 2018) has full gloss finish on all surfaces, an LR Baggs Element Active System-VTC™ pick-up and comes with a custom padded case.

Default Aloha

Aloha Bob,

It was nice to see that you’ve included Alaska and Hawaii in your shipping inclusions. I did a little homework and did you know shipping to Honolulu, Hawaii is the same price as shipping to Portland, Maine?

This guitar looks fabulous. I’ve never had the occasion to play one, however, if looks could kill...wow.

I’ll be dreaming about this one.

Having owned one of these, I can say they are fantastic travel/couch guitars that will not only turn heads, but have surprising depth, volume, and tone. This one is a beauty.

Thanks, all. The current price to order is $2445, so save $500-600, and a lot of time to special order.

I'm passing on the savings I received from an AGF member as well. Offered here and on Reverb (for more $$$).

I hate to sell it, but a "friend from the past" guitar awaits to buy back.

Thumbs up

Bumping it up. Thanks, Alan and Jim.

While it's a looker, the tone, playability and flexibility really make this one stand out. It's my second X7 and special in all ways.

Inquiries always welcome.

Bob

Save more than $600 off new and this is as low as I can go.

Man, what a beauty. I’m almost sorry I just bought a similar era X7 a month or so ago. It doesn’t have the veneer, but otherwise the same guitar. And it’s quickly become my most played. I like the X20 as much or more for strumming and singing with, but I love the little X7 for fingerstyle and I’m learning fingerstyle right now and really getting into it so the X7 is getting a lot more playing time these days.

I don’t know if I’d have been willing to spend the extra for the veneer, but if I ever would have, it would be for this one - that’s just about the prettiest top I’ve seen. Good luck - I can’t believe it hasn’t sold yet...
