Default Tarrega - Adelita (Classical Guitar)

Hi together,

here is a new video, I managed to record, since I have to be in homeoffice now, 'thanks' to corona

Tarrega Adelita on Classical Guitar. I dedicate this to all those, who are separated from their love due to the corona crisis, like me. I recorded it 19.03.2020, at home, and I will stay at home as long as it is necessary. I'm sure, that everything will be fine, when it's all over. Have confidence!

kind regards, Jack

Default Greetings from New York...!!!

Nice job Jack.

I have been learning this piece and your video was very helpful.

I especially liked the way you used vibrato on some of the notes in the 2nd section, that I believe is in the key of E.

I'm not a classical player, and when I tackle a classical piece, I tend to just play it as it is written, so that section was sounding a bit bland to me. I guess there is a degree of "interpretation" in classical music as well.

It seemed to me like you also emphasized some notes and gave them a little more time. You gave me some good ideas.

P.S. I had the pleasure to travel once to the Black Forest. I stayed in a place called Hinterzarten. That year, everyone received a beautiful clock for Christmas.

It's good that we all have this outlet. Stay positive and make more videos!

Thank you very much, Mike!

It took me really a long time to get the ‚flow‘ in the melody of this piece. Since it is from the romantic era, melody and feeling is more important than measures and strict timings. Quite different, as you would play Bach, for example.

So all the best to you all in New York, and stay healthy!

Jack
