Ridin’ Out The Storm. R. Crowell cover
https://vimeo.com/509847153
This is one of my favorites from Rodney Crowell. Story of a man who has chosen his path, however difficult, based on principle and conviction. A good piece of writing in my book. Guitar is a (lowly) Yamaha FS830. The fun-to-dollar ratio of this guitar exceeds anything I’ve seen lately. Pretty amazing for 300 bones. Hope you enjoy the tune. Roger |

Roger, beautiful singing and playing. Rodney is one of my all time favorite songwriters. He has written so many good ones it’s hard to pick even my top 5.

Great job, Roger. Rodney Crowell may be under appreciated by the mainstream crowd, but he is highly regarded by those who appreciate well crafted songs. Thanks for sharing it with us!

This song is on the album "Fate's Right Hand", which I highly recommend as an introduction to Rodney Crowell's work.

Thanks plumbgit and pickinray. I appreciate your time to listen and jot a note.
You’re right, pickinray, Rodney is like so many incredible talents out there...unknown by the mainstream, but highly regarded by those who know them. There is so much great talent around today, it astounds me. Maybe the availability of decent, low priced guitars these days encourages more young folks to jump in at an early age. When I was starting out, you couldn’t buy a decent guitar at such a low relative cost. The ones I played early on hurt my fingers so badly, I can’t believe I stuck with it it. Roger |

Well done Roger!
I am repeatedly impressed with how much value we guitar players can get from Yamaha acoustic guitars. That sounds really good! I bought my grand daughter an OM-size acoustic a few years ago, one similar to yours but smaller, and it sounds pretty decent. Take care Roger! - Glenn
