I think that is just darker mahogany. He has only made 4 brazilian necks ever (#1301 was the 4th) so he doesn't make those up. That said, he told me mine is already made!

I am pretty stoked about this dread. I have an Olson dread already and it is my favorite of all my guitars to play. This one will really be killer.

Keith,

you need to stop posting without pictures. It's against Forum rules

Keith, that back is truly amazing.
That very grain pattern is one of the reasons I like Brazilian.
You're going to have a honey of a guitar.

I looked at a lot of sets of Brazilian and still wasn't finding what I wanted....so I sent a picture of what I was looking for....and as soon as I saw it I knew in a flash.

Honey of a guitar is the truth! It will be the big brother guitar to my one I got in February #1301:

The appointments will be identical except it will have an Adirondack top.

You're fast, man! Just got my pictures 10 minutes ago

I really like how Jim lines up his classes. And it is always fun to see the peacocks in there, like the pink ivory and the pernambuco and whatever the white one is.

Some like to color within straight lines and some like to color outside the lines.

They say our wood is a function of our personality...I tend to go for those with the more attractive figure...maybe you like yours like a carpenters dream...straight as a board and never been...woops.
