Is there an online guitar program for chords?
I always have a tough time remembering the name of or learning the names of new chords outside the major chords; D, G, A, F, etc.
Is there a program where you can enter the notes and it will tell you which chord that is? Just asking as some of my song writing sheets are getting sloppy writing for example 020030 or something like that. And I'm sure it will help down line understanding chords structures and so on. I would appreciate it if someone knew of something like that. -Martin |

I use this page:
http://jguitar.com/chordsearch Check the panel on the left for the Chord Namer feature. You show the "Namer" the notes you are fingering and it gives you the name of the chord. Ray

Though not for the PC, I really enjoy the Chord! app for android (and iphone) users. You can select any tuning, scale or mode you desire.

If you are an iPad user there a a couple of apps that would likely work. Just search for Guitar Chords. Good luck!

I use this one. Has conventional way of finding just about every variation and a very useful reverse chord finder where you put in the fret/strings and it tells you what it is (if it is anything).
