Default Rechargeable pedalboard!

I just made this pedalboard for my electric guitar but this could be ideal for many acoustic players.

Well, at least I'm not the only one in the Eastern US timezone still up!

Excellent review as usual. I'll be putting together my first pedal board soon and this could be perfect. My only issue is probably related to my lack of experience with these--but the harmonizer button on the Boss VE-8 I use is already a bit elevated, and raising that even higher off the floor might be awkward to use during performance. The other pedals are not only more conventionally sized (not that they're that much lower), but I don't need to work them in the middle of a song.

Hey it's so funny, just yesterday I posted a cautionary tale on the Gear Page about my rechargeable power supply! This is perfect timing.

I have a twin of this - maybe made by the same people, I'm not sure. It's called a Tourtek PB1911. It's made by Samson. I absolutely love it. It's got two independent supplies (one on the back and one on the front). The Outlaw here is similar to a smaller unit they have, where there is only one supply. It's got the same 9/12/18/24V power options, which is amazing.

So here's the issue I had with it. After a few months of light use, the power button broke off. When I looked inside where it broke, it was all very cheap plastic that was doing the "pushing" and it just eventually crumbled and made the whole board useless (at least that half).

Now Samson was absolutely great about replacing it so I am still a happy customer, albeit a little worried that it could happen again.

So now when I use it I am super careful to touch the button gently and only when needed. There was a point where I was turning it on and off multiple times in an acoustic practice session just to use my tuner. Now I leave the thing on the whole time I'm practicing and only turn it off when I'm done.

Hope this is helpful. I really really love this product though and sure hope it doesn't fail me any more. It is so awesome to just throw down the pedal board, plug in to guitar and amp, and go!

If you just need rechargeable power, the latest USB spec with the right trigger cable, or an old fashioned USB-A battery and a 9 volt up converter are both good solutions.

A native 9 volt USB-C option (this example is 2 amps):

USB-A option (800 mA):
