Lakewood J32 Baritone
This J32 Baritone is for sale for $sold including shipping ( lower 48). Payment via Paypal is preferred. I bought it last year from a forum member, serial number supposedly dates to 2011, it was either not played much or it was played very carefully. The one blemish on the guitar is on the neck just below the volute. There is a very small spot in the finish that looks like it could have been caused by a reaction to a strap or a guitar stand. I tried to photograph this as close up as possible. I am always open to offers and trades.
The specs from the company website are: Top: AAA European spruce Back & Sides: Indian rosewood AAA (Style 32) Neck: Cedro Soundhole rosette: Wood core with abalone purfling Headstock: Flat headstock Fingerboard: Ebony Neck width at nut: 48 mm (1.89 inch) Scale length: 680 mm (26.8 inch) Tuners: Lakewood ProTune I gold Body finish: High-gloss finish Neck finish: Satin-gloss, filled grain Case: Hiscox Lakewood hard case The guitar has a K&K pickup installed. I have been using it as a "short scale" Baritone and tuning it to C# or D with medium strings. It works great. It has a massive sound ( perhaps due to the jumbo body), and the intonation is good all over the neck. I also tried it tuned B to B with baritone strings and it sounds good in that range as well. It sounds good for fingerstyle or flatpicking. The inevitable question is why are you selling it. In my case I have another guitar coming from Tony Karol that will fill this role. Tuning a step or 1.5 steps lower is essentially a reverse vocal capo and for us low tenor-baritone singers it allows you to sing a lot more tunes using the normal chord positions. If you capo on 2nd fret you can play in standard pitch. I do a lot of gigs where I sing for several hours, being able to lower the pitch makes those easier and being able to hit the high notes in a song is always better than straining and not quite making it. I would rate the condition of this guitar as VG+.

Hey neighbor! I nearly popped on this one when it was listed last year....I’m sure it is a fine fine guitar!! I’ve owned a J32 and a J32 12 string and it’s a great size guitar...very comfortable. I love the fact that the scale length is not too long...Someone will be extremely happy...wish I had the money! Good luck.

Previous owner here. This is a great guitar, and a bargain. Please buy it so I’m not tempted to buy it back!
