World of Bluegrass Festival
Are any of y’all going to the bluegrass festival in Raleigh this weekend. I;m going over there in a little while. I want to catch Jim Lauderdale’s set at 5pm.

Thanks for fixing the link, Inyo...I posted on my phone and that always doesn't work for me.
Interesting day yesterday. The whole festival was smaller than in pre-covid years. Less outdoor stages. Much smaller Expo in the convention center. I bet the expo was 25-30% of previous years. Many fewer vendors but a couple cool one. Bourgeous was there as was Martin and Pre-War. Did not get my hands on a Pre-War. Too many people in their booth. I did get to try a Bourgeous L-DB - which is aka The Sierra Hull model. Nice guitar but it sounds better when Sierra Hull plays it... Then my wife and I went outside and this year we parked by one stage instead of strolling the whole event. We were impressed by Jake Blount and his band. A bunch of youngsters doing what seemed historically significant renditions of old time, blues & jazz. Jake is a award winning banjo player. We also got to see a favorite of ours, Jim Lauderdale. My wife got him to pose for a picture and also worked her way into the local news broadcast about the event. Fun day. Ill post some pics...
