R.I.P Michael Collins
One of the original 3 who captivated the whole world back in 1969 in a positive way. He wasn't on the surface with Armstrong and Aldrin, but he had quite a view from his module! Best wishes to the Heavens for a hero of the space age.

Can’t remember why, but within the past few weeks I’d done some reading on the Apollo 11 astronauts and now Michael Collins has taken his final flight. What a life! RIP

Yes, he has... he's "slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings." He was known to be an outstanding Air Force pilot and astronaut. He never seemed seemed quite as caught up in the good and bad of Apollo 11's aftermath as his two cohorts and he went on living a long, quiet and productive life. RIP...
