Yes, I purchased it from a collector who barely touched it. (I've only used it in my smoke free home and have very low hours on her.)

So let me rephrase that... If you'd like a very gently used USA made MusicMan Axis with no mods, repairs, and no gig time, grab mine for well under $2k! Or, if you check sweetwater for example, you can buy a new guitar from the Axis range and once you add tax, you're looking at between $2750 and $3k and change. That should clear things up.
