It's supposed to be an igloo, so only lower-case would work.

Agree that this jersey, as well as the Hartford Whalers and late-60s powder blue Penguin jerseys, are my favorites!

Hoping the Islanders take this one but I'm far more interested in the Habs/Knights series.

For those who may not remember, Sakic was the first player to get the Stanley Cup in his hands (as all captains do). He immediately gave it to Ray Bourque... classy move that lives in history. No other player in the NHL had played as many games before winning their first Cup.

Anyone remember the Stovepipe Stanley Cup? This is what it looked like before it was redesigned.

Syl Apps, 1942. Yep, that's the Stanley Cup.

Skip to 3:40 to see what this moment looked like from the cheap seats. I will never forget it. I did get the Stanley Cup years mixed up , this was of course 2001.

When Sakic tells him "go ahead, skate it". Yes, great great moment....

That was great! Another great hand off was Gretzky handing it to Steve Smith the year after Smith put the winning puck in his own net in Game 7 against the Flames (although Gretzky skated with the Cup).

Well, to state the obvious, the Isles were totally taken out of their game last night. They may go down tomorrow night but they'll do it their way - everyone skates, everyone hits, everyone stays in their position.
