Need Acoustic Guitar Recommendation - Suffolk County,NY
I previously posted a thread about what to look for in a good “set up” - and several respondents righty stated I should have posted my location - to get recommendation. And so - I’m doing that now.
I’m purchasing a new parlor guitar (Eastman) - and I want to get it in the best possible shape for finger style. So - I’m look for Setup Luthier recommendations I live in central Suffolk County NY - close to Stony Brook University. (Zip is 11790) Any recommendations for great Luthiers within 25 miles? Thanks. |

You need to go to Ed Clark in Lake Ronkonkoma. Not only is he a skilled craftsman who will do a great job for you, he's an honest guy who won't try to talk you into anything you don't need.
He's also got a funky little shop that's cool to visit! |

Another vote for ED. I brought a guitar to him with the action a little high. He played it took out a truss rod tool tightened the neck, and it played great. He wouldn't even charge me. How many out there would do that.
