Congratulations. It's a very beautiful guitar. I am actually about to order the H13 in the same wood combination myself. I really love it that the guitar sounds great even on your phone made recording. It assured me that European spruce and mahogany is also the right combo for me.

Enjoy it!

What are your thoughts on the guitar a month later?

My own custom H13 has been ordered.

Absolutely love it. I just decided to sell my SCGC 1929/00 because I find this H/13 covers that territory very well — and a whole lot more. This H/13 is very responsive to finger style and yet handles a pick well for a full range of tone. We all like different things, but this is exactly what I was hoping for. Good luck with yours.

I should add that after experimenting with a few types of strings, I’ve decided that the SCGC low tension are outstanding on this guitar for my taste.

I recently had a chance to play an H model (14 fret) in a shop. That, and your build thread, have put the H on my radar. It might be an ideal guitar for me as I’m having to play smaller body instruments now.

I was utterly impressed with the stout bass tone, the overall balance of the sound and the volume. The long scale seems to help and the added body depth made it, to my ears, the just-right Goldilocks assembly of its ingredients.
