Default Artisan Guitar Show - April 12-14: Whose Going?

I wanted to start a thread here in the AGF Custom Shop to see if others are planning on attending this year’s Artisan Guitar Show in Harrisburg, PA April 12-14, 2019?

https://artisanguitarshow.com/

This is the third year for the show and I attended both the 2016 and 2017 shows and thought that they were very well run by the organizer. Like all new shows, the second year attendance was much larger than year one. I expect this year to be even larger given natural third year grow and positive economic conditions. The exhibition room at the hotel was set up with plenty of space by each of the exhibitors to audition their instruments (with seating) plus there are a number of quiet spaces to go to outside the room as well. Master classes and concerts (see website for details on these) take place in other nearby rooms in to hotel.

The event takes place at a Best Western Premier Central Hotel & Conference Center in Harrisburg, PA. The location while unfamiliar to many, is actually centrally located about 1-hour drive from Baltimore, 2-hour drive from Philadelphia or Washington DC and 3-hours drive from New York City and Pittsburgh areas. Everything takes place at the hotel: the exhibit hall, master classes, evening concerts, cocktail party and impromptu jams in the evenings. Being a smaller city (PA State Capital), the room rates are also quite reasonable. I found this particularly convenient to stay at the hotel when you have some personal guitars with you. I know a number of builders who have post in this forum are going (see the list below).

This year I am definitely going again. Who else is planning on attending? I will share photos of the luthier’s guitars from the show on this thread as well.

Here’s the line up of 55 luthier, guitar companies, amp companies, retailers, tools, woods, accessories and services and other exhibitors for this year:

Hi Bob,
Thanks for taking charge with this thread. I’ll volunteer to make another batch of wooden AGF badges if enough people are interested?

All right! Let's do some mountain biking together! There's a decent set of trails in Harrisburg, 5 miles from the guitar show venue.

Oh, and I'll be there ... with a guitar or 2 and my mountain bike.

Too cool.

Alright John! I have a nice Seven hard tail and needed a cargo bike while my new touring bike was made. So I took off the shock and replaced it with a ruggedized carbon fork from Surly, added a few racks, put on a Jones type bar and slicked the tires. Good news: the touring bike arrived, whew! I will strip back the Seven and throw on some knobbies. I want to keep the rigid carbon fork and Jones Bar however. I think I can muscle that around...we’ll see. If not I will get a good view of your back tire and, hopefully not, the sky.

Hmm. An easy choice: go see my good friend Courtney. But, on your way, stop by to say hello.
