For a tan, lay on the beach for a few hours over several days.

Pete Huttlinger on Homespun for Jim Croce.

Seriously auto correct gets more and more annoying everyday. It used to be that you had to proofread your work for your own misspellings and grammar. Now you have to look it over for auto corrects errors! I picked up the Pete Huttlinger stuff. My fingers hurt but I'm already learning. I never realized how intricate and demanding some of Croce's guitar moves were.

I have "The Best of Jim Croce" from Big 3 Music. It has decent tabs. (Still has the price sticker, $3.95. Probably $25 easy these days at GC)

I also have Pete Huttlinger's Jim Croce #1 and #2 from Homespun Tapes. They are far superior to the book, but no lyrics.

If you want to play the guitar like Jim Croce and Maury Maulheisen, go with the Huttlinger lessons.

The only drawback is that there are only six or seven songs covered in each lesson.

You can find all the lyrics online.

Just my .02

CK

I've many Jim Croce songbooks. The Pete Huttlinger stuff is cool. The Guitar Recorded Versions and Guitar Play Along songbooks are also cool.

I would also suggest http://www.jerrysguitarbar.com

I believe he is a member here, as well. You get notes, tabs and video instructions. I have purchased 8-9 songs from him and all have been outstanding!

I am about 80% there with Photographs & Memories, which is one of my favorites.
