Do you have someone to saw it for you?

Oh dear - I thought for sure that folks would realize that the log is petrified wood.

It is in fact from the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. It was a sinker, all right, a few million years ago.

It really would be cool to use as an electric top
Maybe with an ancient kauri body and sinker mahogany neck.

Haven't come across too many rock topped electrics.

the tap-tone is very monolithic, stonelike if you will-it should make a timeless peice and command a high price-

Apparently some saw this for what it was, but I naively thought it sincere. I have been taken down a notch in my own estimation. I will have to be more cautious about trusting my fellow human beings in the future.

Guys, I have to say that although I certainly intended a joke, I thought that it would be rather apparent that the "log" was not wood any longer. The whole point of the post was that after being under water (and earth!) for a few million years, it was a "sinker supreme" as I called it. The replies surprised me!
