Default Which side of the strings do you put your pick?

I've always stored my picks in between the G B & E strings.

Recently ordered a few of those Alice rubber things that attach to the strings above the nut to hold 2 picks (should be here before the end of the month), so I'll be storing my picks there from now on.

But lately I've seen people storing their picks on the bass side, E A & D strings. Wondered about that, and tried it but he thicker wound strings and the higher tension seemed a little harder to slide in.

Under the low E, over the A and under the D on the second fret. I’m kinda OCD about that.

Why would you ever put a pick under the strings ?

I keep my picks, tuner and capo in gold/brass boxes which I keep in the case accessory box.
That way you never lose valuable accessories and you are ALWAYS prepared.

Most of my picks seem to be stored in the bottom of the washing machine or dryer

I couldn't vote because I put my picks in the watch pocket of my jeans like the good lord intended. LOL

Gotta put this up there with:

"Do you label your guitar cases so you know which guitar is in the case?"
and
"Do you put stickers on your case?

I keep two pics in each case, one a fender heavy, the other a clayton ultem - one goes under the base strings, the other under the treble.
the closer to the nut you have them, the less likely they are to fall off.
