Default Good Song Medleys for gigs

I've got a solo, acoustic restaurant gig in a couple weeks. Thinking I'd like to try some medleys of great hits by some different artists to play.

Looking for things that'll let me stretch things out for a while without worrying about jamming on instrumental breaks. I've always included lead breaks, bridges, etc. in the past, but I get bored with it myself at times so I know the crowd can. They seem most attentive in my experience when you're playing things they recognize and can sing along to themselves.

What are some medleys that have worked well for you?

Some things I have in mind are:

REM: Driver 8 >> Rockville >> Superman >> One I Love

Steve Miller Band: Rock'n Me >> True Fine Love >> Take the Money >> Jet Airliner

Stones: Wild Horses >> Under My Thumb >> Dead Flowers

A couple of slow oldies:

I Fall to Pieces - I Can't Help It (If I'm Still in Love With You) & last verse of Back Home Again

The Way You Look Tonight - I Love You (For Sentimental Reasons)

Not really as a medley but mixing selected verses.

Both Van Morrison and Bob Dylan have a TON of songs that would fit in a medley...

A lot of times, I'll do Van's "Astral Weeks">"Crazy Love">"Tupelo Honey">"Wild Nights"... but I mix them up all the time... I just go by what seems to tell a story to me...

Neil Young's "Helpless" and Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door".
Same tune and (almost) the same chords.
Yup, Dylan stole it, but they seem to have made it up:

- they change the key, but you don't need to do that. The original melodies are pretty much identical, so they could easily be done in the same key.
(They're not singing the original melody for KOHD in this version.)

I do a medley that isn't by one artist but rather by "theme". The theme for my medley is cheesy sing-a-long tunes. So, I throw together Silly Little Love Songs, Sweet Caroline and Jesse's Girl (I call it my Cheese Platter). If you have any pretensions about artistic pride this may not be the one for you.

In a similar vein, I do a mashup of Stairway to Heaven and Baby, One More Time (yeah, the Britney Spears song). It'll usually get a crowd hoppin'.

Only works if you can convey a wry, self-deprecating sense of humour.
