Saw that as I’m pondering a system for my Taylor. I do wish they’d go modular with an 1/8” connector like the Schertler. Trying my best to keep the paraphernalia inside to a minimum but not (as folks are queuing up) a fan of the K&K.

I wonder if it will be competitive to the DiMarzio Angel. It'll be cheaper than the Angel if you figure in the onboard preamp. I'm thinking, though, that most players might prefer to just use the passive Angel with an outboard preamp which will give them better EQ control and more fine-tuneable volume control than they can get with an onboard preamp.
In any event, it'll be interesting to see how this new mag compares with the Angel.

It sounds good, nice feature with added tone control, but it still doesn't sound quite as warm and good as the M80 imo...I have the M80 dialed in on my D18 and have recorded and gigged with it for four years now. I have used mags since late 70's, and like the M80's percussive, warm nature and features very much. BUT you have to spend time dialing it in...Jarvis does a good job in this vid:

I think it would have been better not to use a slide
in the video. That being said i liked the sound. albeit a bit electric sounding. For me i keep going back and forth between the Sunrise and the M80. Lately the M80.
