Karura is the lightest and most-durable of the flight cases I have had the fortune to preview...and that's most of them.

Their classical sized case would work well for a parlor or any 00-or-smaller instrument.

I use Karura for my OM sized guitars (their OM case, doh), and I am about to order a dread-sized case for one of my Bozo Podunavac guitars. The other Bozo has an original "Al Williams Calton" (from 1999), and while it is great protection, I just-about need a fork-lift truck to haul it around...

Default Karura

Regarding the Karura, I would like to comment that the exterior coating is not (no longer?) impregnated with the CF shell. Thus, it is subject to fracture and crack--I would go so far as to describe it as fragile.

At a minimum, today, a karura owner should plan on buying a soft case for the hard case. And that person should probably also be comfortable with minor marine application gelcoat repair.

I do love my karura, but be forewarned.

(Larry, if you ever come back to this thread, would appreciate hearing if you will be performing in the Puget Sound area soon.)

I went with Calton and was supremely happy.

Bare-bones black, so as not to attract theft attention.

Is black your favourite colour? Have you chosen a shoppe? Do you plan on storing your parlour in the boot of your car? You might want to take an aeroplane to a good shoppe in your area and look at something in person. Be sure to bring your cheque book, though. Don’t just go in to kick the tyres.
