Hey guys and gals. I've received some interest from someone from Australia about getting this guitar. I know some of you may have more experience than I do about shipping down under. The shipping fees and gst that's required add about $900 and paperwork to the cost. Beyond that the mother of pearl requires an export permit that requires inspection and 2 months of processing best I understand. My guess is that this will sour this potential customer from pursuing it further, but I thought I would just ask if anyone has any additional advice regarding the issue.

Thanks for any input.

I am soooo glad this didn't end up in Australia! My name is written in this guitar - I had to play it, and I have.

I can't believe I just read through both of the threads on this guitar in one sitting! The whole process was so much fun the first time around, but it was spread over a couple of months! It was still fun this time: this is a very special guitar.

This one has surfaced at an Austin dealer - one of us should pick this up!

Old threads come to life! Wow, it’s been a while since I built this guitar. It may be time to do another “while the boss is away” guitar. I should probably wait until the inevitable happens and have the “while the boss is in quarantine” guitar.

No, knock on wood I should do one before then.

Default Not a sales pitch

But since the cat is out of the bag, I must say that this guitar had the most beautiful voice of any that I've owned. One of the easiest playing too. I hate to let it go, but . . . life happens . . .
