Hosted Open Mic last night Strange but True story
Last night I hosted an open mic and one of the weekly regulars comes in with a new guitar. With only seeing the back, I instantly recognize it's a Taylor from the headstock shape.
He comes up to the stage & I'm setting him up & I say to him "I see you bought one of the new 2003 314ce -LTD's in Koa" and he says to me, Geez, "I'm not really sure what model it is". I'm thinking to myself, how could you buy this guitar & know literally nothing about it. Come to find out, he was talked into it by one of our reputable GC salesmen, go figure.

True, but I bet if someone said "I Like your Pacer", you wouldn't say "Gee, is that what model it is".

How true. I'm reminded of Roy Buchannan, who literally used to drag a raw Fender Telecaster around behind him - no case. Equipment meant nothing to him. It was all about expression.
We do expend a lot of energy on sound while some others don't give a roaring rip. Could we learn from each other? Bob

When I bought my first Taylor I didn't know a whole lot about the company, models etc. It was just the guitar I liked the best.
