Ahhhh. The rare sighting (Baranik build thread) with fantastic woods and a new body!

Looking forward to seeing the progress live in a couple of months!

Thanks for posting!

Best,

Phil

Congrats on the new Baranik journey. Sounds like it will be an amazing guitar. You’ll have to post sound clips when you finally get your hands on the finished product. In the meantime, I’ll enjoy the photos.

Best,
Jayne

I can see them AOK, but they are HUGE so I can no longer read the text because it is tiny in comparison to the posted images.

Hmmm, sorry folks. I’ll work on this in the morning and hopefully solve the problem!

You've got a beautiful build underway there Jenn. What wood is Mike using for the linings, back bracing and kerfed linings. It looks a bit like White Limba but I suspect its a S. American wood instead.

Hi Jenn,

Any news / new pics on this build? I've been intrigued by Mike's 'super meridian' for a while, I'd love to see more!

Cheers,
David

Hey there, Jenn!

Ok, some of us have seen a couple of photos on FB or Mike's Instagram account. But we all want to see more!! Full body shots and all the little details!!

More importantly, I'd love to read about your impressions of your new guitar and where it stands in relation to the rest of your Baraniks. When the dust has started to settle, and you've got some free time, don't forget to report back here to us on the AGF.

This week I've been playing my Meridian non-stop, except for some bedtime picking on the Retreux Parlor. Two very different guitars, for sure, but both very much Baraniks: clarity, warmth, power, responsiveness, playability. The fun never ends!
