Arrow Decorative wall posters of rock star luthiers

I recently bought a 30th Anniversary commemorative poster from Kevin Ryan's shop (https://ryanguitars.com/merch/) and after popping it into a poster frame, hung it up in my new guitar room. It looks great! Got me thinking, it would be cool to have a similar poster (either artwork or just cool photography) of my favorite guitar builders. Jim Olson, Ray Kraut, Andrew Madsen, Alistair Hay,... Way more cool than decorating with Beatles posters and such.

I'm wondering if luthiers commission promo posters for shops that distribute them, or create them for their booths at Healdsburg, Woodstock, etc., and sell them on the side similar to Kevin's commemorative one. Maybe Tom B'Sox will issue a commemorative poster from his March 2019 event? Any thoughts on sources for wall decorations like this?

This is a limited run lithograph that SCGC had produced some years ago - I believe they had posters made of it too, but I don’t know where you’d find one - (sorry about the glare) -

Back in 2010 we built a 30th Anniversary guitar and we have typical merchandise like shirts, hats, etc. We even have a pretty cool steel sign that someone could get for their guitar room but it’s pricier than a poster.

A 40th Anniversary print is a cool idea. Kevin’s take on the old Yosemite posters is a clever California idea. Thanks for sharing.

T shirts. I really like t shirts.

My wife would not take kindly to a guitar poster.

I don’t have posters of guitars by my favorite builders, but I do have this one.

Figured out how to get Kevin's poster image off his website so I could post it directly. Popped it onto the first post.

Tadol - I love that Santa Cruz litho! And Ryan, your Kinnaird metal sign is totally cool - another great artifact for a guitar room. Paul, that's awesome - images from a basic acoustic guitar patent from a turn-of-the-past-century guitar manufacturer. Love them all.

Any other examples or leads? May be a mighty empty set of walls without more ideas...

*UPDATE* - I now have a lead on an Olson poster (should have it by end of September), and also created one myself from a recent photo taken in his shop...so 2 options there. Ray Kraut has suggested he may do a Kraut Guitars poster and Alistair Hay might do something for Emerald Guitars in the future, so there may be future décor items coming. Working on more!

Got a wonderful Olson Guitars poster, so that now makes two for my guitar room. This one is not in its poster frame yet, but it's shown below. Have a lead on a 3rd, though it will be a home-printed one...

Anyone else find this a cool way to dress up a music space? Or does everyone else just do t-shirts?

My company makes specialized tools and we have a couple really high end glossy ad posters with acoustic guitars and mandolins in them.

I have nice framed posters of those

I saw an episode of Fixer Upper where Joanne was doing a music room and she had a guy do some art, but basically he went online to the patent office where you can get all the old patents and found a design for a guitar from the early 1900's, blew it up and printed it out, framed it, and it turned out really cool!

That sounds really intriguing fazool. Might they be available for purchase? Could you post an image of one of them? (thanks in advance! )

Tom - cool idea! I'll bet that's what Paul has on his image of the Stratton (post #5 here)...
