Default Bach, Bourree BWV 996

Hokay - so several months ago I joined and posted an original. Since then I have redesigned my recording process and can now do video and audio (rather than simply a black screen), though for pieces with a more edited/composed nature, I may have to resort to cuts between parts rather than a video wall.

Still, here is the Bourree BWV 996 by Johann Sebastian Bach. I'm adding new videos weekly.

That's great, Michael. I enjoyed that. Haven't heard it in a while... Jethro Tull did a version years ago. Thanks for posting.

Thank you Bob - I redid it today. I was getting a lot of audio distortion. Unfortunately Youtube still distorts it a little, but not like it was. Mic placement and some damping apparatus gave me a much stronger signal.

Now to work on that pinky.

Very good stuff. I also noticed the triple hammer-ons (if that is what they are called) are better in the new video, too. On my system, the video and audio on both of the videos appeared slightly out of sync...don't know if it is my slow DSL connection or the video itself.

Good stuff Michael. These are tough tunes and you execute them very well.

I really like the simple video style and your low-key nature without all the histrionics I so often see. I know it's just indvidual style, but sometimes it seems more drama than necessary.......

I subscribed and look forward to more great music.

BTW, Leo Kottke also did BWV 996. I think it was in his 'Greenhouse' album back in the 70's.

Thanks for your kind words Bill - I'm definitely a very straightforward kinda person when it comes to presentation.

Incidentally, have you heard Jethro Tull's version of the tune? I saw a couple comments in various videos and finally listened - it's pretty cool. Very, very 70s. Which is a-ok by me.
