Default Small mixer/headphone amp for practice with pedalboard

Hi everyone,

Got into using a pedalboard about a year ago and am now to the point where I am really happy with the sound. Looking for some advice on a piece of gear to add to my pedalboard to simulate my live setup for practice through headphones. I currently accomplish this by plugging into my Zoom R8 or Schertler Jam, but I'd love to have the freedom to do so without having to get out any more gear than my pedalboard.

This piece of gear ideally has one input for DI signal and one for effects signal with ability to adjust the mix or one channel with an effects loop. It should be small enough to fit on my pedalboard and ideally around $150 or less.

When I play live, my signal chain goes:
  • K&K Trinity
  • Headway EDB-2 (DI to house/amp; line out to pedalboard)
  • Eventide TimeFactor
  • Eventide Space Reverb
  • TC Electronics Corona (to house/amp)

Here are a few ideas I've found:
  • Eventide Mixing Link Really looks ideal, but twice what I want to spend right now new and not much better used - it might just be that I need to wait and get this eventually.
  • Zoom U24 Larger and messier than I'd like (I feel like the inputs coming out of the face might drive me a bit nuts), but would work.
  • Rolls PM351 About $80 new. Appears to fit the bill, but I haven't used or heard anything about Rolls.

I'd love to hear any ideas y'all have. Thanks!

To practice with my pedalboard through headphones, I use one of these (although mine is an older model):

It's easy to find little mixers like these used for very little.

This is what I use to do exactly what you describe:

That's exactly what I was looking for. Great size, great price. Thanks so much for posting!

Hi,
Just so I know what I'm looking at, if I wanted to do what the OP is looking to do, that is to hear my pedalboard without plugging into an amp and bothering everyone else in my house, I would just plug my pedalboard into the "Monitor Input" connection on this device and then plug my headphones into the "Phones" connection. Right?

Thank you,
PJ

It's that easy.
The OP will do the same, plus plug the DI connection to the mic in.

Using the mono setting will give the listener sound from both ears of the signal if the input is a TS (unbalanced) cable.
