Default tenacious d

anyone heard of this band?...i was sorting through my 350+ cds and found their cd...there is some great acoustic guitar playing on their album...but beware...if you dont like hearing the f word used repeatedly or songs about forms of sex (i wont go into too much detail) i wouldnt recommend it...i believe it would be a safe bet that this cd would offend about 80% of the members of this forum...

but if you dont mind the profanity...this cd can be very entertaining...

I love that CD. KG as he is called by Jack Black, is a great guitarist, electric and acoustic. They are kinda wild but I like that. It's something different. I really like that CD.

I'm a big Tenacious D fan!

In have copies of all their HBO shows.
The CD is great.

Kyle Glass and Jack Black. Both very talented. And both very funny!

Anyone else see the HBO series they had? I believe it was 6 episodes.

Great Stuff!

Default kinda off-topic, but...

Every time I hear about Jack Black, my brain opens the Frank Black file, and I mourn the divorce between him and Kim Deal. The Pixies were the greatest.

Ohhh.... Pixies.

Man. You are right about that. I saw them open up for Janes Addiction and Primus at the Paladium in Hollywood in 1989...

Skinheads were throwing shoes at them and booing... they had to leave after 4 or 5 songs. I almost got trampled to death. It was still one of the musical highlights of my concertgoing career.

Two excellent bands. . . . . what were we talking about, oh yea, Tenacious D !!!

Funny stuff. . . .. Like that Jack Black !

If you really want to hear Jack Black belt it out, rent the movie High Fidelity. Good movie but Jack Black does a rendention of Lets Get It On at the end that will blow your mind.

Also, in the Tenacious D video, "Tribute to the Greatest Song in the World", Dave Grohl plays the devil. You really cant tell though, BUT ITS HIM!

Later Skater...

Wow! "350+ CD's"!

How long did it take you to search through all them?
