Default Sonnit Looper - inspired by Ed Sheeran's Chewie Monsta II

Anyone else looked at this? I've been in contact with Ed in the UK (very responsive to emails, BTW) and am seriously considering the forthcoming iPad version. He has Windows/Mac or iPad based versions.

I'm curious if anyone else might already have one or would be interested in getting one as well. Who knows, maybe we could talk him into a group buy discount?

Here's a very in-depth pedal overview video he produced:

And he's moved on from Mobius to develop his own software as well:

This is a midi controller few LEDs and a LCD screen for £500.

You still need to buy a computer or an iOS device, an audio interface and their software $30.

One could probably make his own as Ed Sheeran's guitar tech did with Mobius
http://www.circularlabs.com/

which is a free software btw.

I think I read somewhere that the guitar tech made the controler for Ed Sheeran because he wanted to have the "feel" of his old RC-30.

So he took some old BOSS pedals and made the custom midi controller.

If you have basic programming skills this is a $50 Arduino project (without the box). For the bravest you can include a single-board windows computer+audio interface in the box and it will be even more efficient and work without external devices.

A guy did a DIY guide (>£150 but half of the price is for the Ed-like footswitchs, one can use regular footswitches and save a lot of money)

Note: if the electronic part scares you, there are plenty of arduino MIDI shield to buy ($20 or less). This one for example even has 4 piezo inputs for drum pads. It would be easy to turn that into 4 footswitch inputs.

Ha- the guy that did the first DIY is the one that is now selling the larger Sonnit pedals. It seems that enough interest really blossomed into a business!

I am seriously thinking about getting this pedal. My Boss 300 just doesn't sound right. He is very responsive to email and even facebook messanger.

Found one used online. Older version, but works really well. Very happy with it and so far so good. Getting used to it so I can work out the interaction kinks before playing live. I'm using his software trial as well and it's been mostly excellent. I've had a few frozen program issues but they are rare. I need to see if its my laptop or the Focusrite interface causing it....
