Default Pedal Board w/ Tonedexter Question

Putting together my first pedal board while social distancing. I have a Martin 000-18ge with a K and K.

Just picked up a Tonedexter and, WOW. First training with an AT4041 sounds great going into a Loudbox Performer.

Next week I値l have the following - Tonedexter- Wampler Mini Ego Compressor - Wampler Ethereal Reverb/Delay - Boss Rc3 Looper

Newbie question -What痴 the best way to chain these?

Thanks!
Mike

Assuming your K&K is passive and you'll want to go into a mixing desk that would suggest guitar - TD - FX loop - other pedals - back into TD and out of XLR.

This will make the most of the hiZ input and the XLR out. It depends, however, on what signal level the other pedals work best at and their input impedance value. If they like a lower signal then there is a possibility the signal from the FX loop will overdrive the input and they, in turn, will struggle to drive the FX return of the TD.

If this is the case then I would initially try the TD first for the hiZ and out into the others where you can match the input level.

Worth experimenting though.

You might consider this (it's what I use).

The TDx has a stereo pin out and in. I use it with a splitter cable and go though a single delay pedal and back into the TDx

Looks just like the kind of thing I should have lying around for when it's needed.

Good spot, BW.

Generally speaking, a splitter cable would be a TS (mono) jack going to two other TS jacks making parallel connections. What you have there is an insert lead often used to connect FX units to individual channels on a mixing desk rather than aux in/outs.

This is not written in stone and plenty of folks will happily use the term "splitter", just clarifying because I have an irrational compulsion to do so.

Ok. I知 assuming no problems with that. I知 going to attempt compression, reverb and looper back into TD....

It works great. In your case, you'd have multiple pedals with additional cables between them. It's just a loop. The extra pedals come after the TD wavemap.
