Default Benoît Raby Étude

I took classical guitar lessons for two years as a teen but haven't played in this style or owned a classical guitar since. A few months ago I got the hankering to get one and slowly build a classical repertoire (again).

The local selection of nice guitars appeared slim until I remembered a small independent store called Grand Salon de Guitare which has a vast selection of classical guitars including some high-end luthier built instruments.

My choice was this 2013 Étude model from Quebec City luthier Benoît Raby. A really nice instrument that should satisfy me for many years. I bought a Visesnut Active case with it.

" Etude Model "

Made in 2013

650mm scale with 52mm nut width

Spruce top

Indian rosewood back & sides

Cedar neck

Ebony fingerboard

Hand made rosette

Baljak high end tuning machines

Water base all laquer finishing

Savarez Alliance Corum (Alliance KF Trebles, Corum Basses) Normal Tension 500AR strings

Weight of the guitar is 1.63 kg / 3.6 lbs
