With respect, there are aspects that are “material agnostic” and those that are inherent to the material of construction. Your shape, thickness, point and bevel are all geometry related. Your rigidity/stiffness and thickness are really confounded with both geometry and the material’s elastic modulus. The material coefficient friction and surface texture together with geometry also matter.

Pick Geometry (e.g., overall shape, thickness, bevel etc.)
Pick Texture (e.g., surface characteristics)
Material Coefficient of Friction (e.g., slipperiness, tackiness etc.)
Material Elastic Modulus (e.g., relative stiffness for a given thickness)
Hi, and thanks for your input, with which I agree.
This is but the first of a number of polls to explore people's preferences in much of which you speak.

however, I will consider your comments and may augment them with my initial list as follows:

1. Shape (see above)
2. Material
3. Thickness
4. Rigidity/flexibility
5. Point
6. Bevelled or unbevelled

Thanks again.

I use a BlueChip TAD-3R 60 with rounded bevels on each of the 3 corners.

I was ordering the TD60s and I found the non beveled rounded corners sounded best on my guitars so I thought why not have that on all three sides. The thickness of tone is impressive with them. After trying 5 or so different Bluechip picks this is what I settled on a few years back. I have about 6 of them in total.

You have an uncommon pick attack angle when you are playing. I wonder if that is having an influence on your pick choice. In fact, I wonder if our grip and pick strike technique is actually the biggest influence on the pick shapes we each prefer?

I prefer a nice rounded large triangle because that size helps me keep the pick in my hands. For recording, TV and radio appearances I’ll usually go for a Charmed Life Black or Blonde however I recently picked up a brown vespel that is about 0.85 thickness that I really like. For gigs and plugged in playing I usually use a Steve Clayton Ultex large triangle 0.80. I also drill grip holes in all my picks to help them stay in my hand.

I like medium sized rounded triangle shaped picks, in the .89mm-1.0mm range, with right hand bevels. I use Bluechips either a TPR35 or TPR40.

I voted 'other' as the typical Fender 351 style pick is considered 'standard.'

I voted for the smaller triangle because I've been primarily playing with that for the past several years. However, if I could vote for 2 sizes or have a 1A, it would be the Bluechip SR sized pick. It's quickly becoming a favorite.
